Finish 2018 STRONG
We are into the last quarter of the year. I feel like the year has flown by! I still have things I want to accomplish this year and have made some laser focus goals on a few things because not only do I want to finish 2018 strong, I want to hit the ground running in 2019. Goal setting is so important in order to be successful!
Galatians 6:9 says
“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
Paul is reminding the Galatians to PERSEVERE.
When you look up the definition of persevere, it says “to continue in a course of action even in the face of difficulty.”
If you set out on January 1, 2018 to improve your health and you have not achieved your goals or completely abandon them, PERSEVERE.
If you set out with a budget on January 1, 2018 and have gotten a little relaxed with your spending, refocus & PERSEVERE.
If you set out to spend more time with God and yet your bible is still sitting on the bookshelf, unopened…pick it up & PERSEVERE.
Life, getting healthy, being good stewards of our resources…it is a journey. DO NOT QUIT, PERSEVERE.
Life is about PERSEVERANCE; steadfastness in doing something (life) despite difficulty (trials, obstacles, distractions) or delay (God’s timing) in achieving success.
We are reminded by God’s truth in Galatians 6:9 to keep going, dont give up, keep at it! We are promised that we will reap a harvest of blessings!
Dont quit believing that…PERSEVERE!
Doubt, growing weary, can really paralyze you in achieving your dreams & goals. Doubt is a product of Satan. IT does not come from the Lord.
Galatians 6:9 it also says to “not grow weary in doing good.” The Message translation says “lets not allow ourselves to get fatigued doing good,” and “right now, every time we get the chance, let us work for the benefit of all.”
When we work hard in HIS strength, not ours, we won’t get weary.
We we choose BELIEF of the truths of the Word.
AND, when we do good – exercise, eat right, pray, spend time with God, spend our resources wisely, etc.. everyone benefits.
If you are healthy, you miss less work which makes you a better employee.
If you eat right, you will have more energy to do the things you love with the people you love.
If you spend your money wisely, you will be able to bless those around you.
Goodness begets goodness. I truly believe it.
No doubt. Cast out all FEAR. Set your heart and mind to the things that you know will make you a better version of you. THAT is what God wants for you. He will honor your hard work and commitment!
I encourage you to take time THIS WEEK to write down a few goals you have for the remainder of this year. Be realistic but be willing to enter into a space of being a little uncomfortable, because THAT is when good things happen! Write your goals on a post-it note & put it where you will see them daily. Then share your goals with someone for accountability. Lastly, and most importantly, commit to praying about them every-single-day.
The Lord knows the desires of your heart and if you take those desires + set some measurable goals + commitment & determination -> you will accomplish anything.
Praying for you friend & cheering you on!
Peace, Love, & Prayers,
